A Blessing From God
1) My husband and I lost our jobs: Dan in Sept.2004 and myself this last Sept.10, 2009. 2) I would like to work from home from here on out. I have some medical problems and my cardiologist would like me to get away from the strain of working in an acute hospital setting. 3) I’m excited about work from home typing jobs. I’d be my own boss. I’d put my work first each day and I type really well and fast. I’d make a decent living each year working for your special company. It would be a blessing from God if I get into this job and I’d give it a 101% like I did at my former job of 27 years. 4) The goals I’m working towards is to be the best transcriptionist in Southern California. I’d be able to do this job until I retire at the age of 65 or more. I’d like to receive an MT education to add to my resume, find employment with a company that I could work with for a long time, and maybe even start my own MT business. 5) Please consider me for your scholarship and I would be forever grateful to you! 6) I have worked at AV Hospital in Lancaster,Ca for 27 years and now they are trying to make it an all RN hospital. LVNs are being asked to leave or work in areas they are not qualified to do. 7) I need to work not only because of financial hardship, but because I love working in the medical field and as long as I can do that then I know I’ll be okay and so will my family. 8.) I attended Riverside Community College in August 1970 and received my LVN license Sept.1971. I intended to go back to get my RN but I got married and had two children to raise. 9) I have worked several places over the years in order to improve my job. I worked at 3 convalescents hospitals, an acute hospital named Community Hospital for 5 years and, finally, I worked at AV Hospital for 27 years. I also did Home Health. 10) The last five years I have worked in Performance Improvement working for Joint Commission & CMS using their information receiving how well our hospital is doing quality patient care and the improvements we needed to provide for. This organization is also able to compare our hospital to other hospitals around the nation in the areas of pneumonia, heart failure, acute myocardial and surgical care infection prevention. Soon pre-op baby care and children’s asthma will be added to the lists. This is know as Core Measures and every quarter of the year we must pass with an 80% or the federal government will not pay the hospital the 2 million dollars because of the low score we might receive. I’m proud to say we have done well but people are human and mistakes can be made. The last quarter we received a 98%. 11) With all this information I hope to hear from you soon. If you need further information please don”t hesitate to call, write or email me. I appreciate all your help and time with me. I’m so anxious to hear from you! Respectfully yours, Rebecca A Humphry,LVN
