A Career With The Possibility of Growth
I have been a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 10 years and I was recently diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy. Because of this, I found out that I will be out of work for at least two months. This has been a very difficult adjustment for me and also a very “eye opening” experience for me. I know that my condition is temporary, but it has been a very difficult and trying time for myself and my family. I have five children and three of them are very young and are having a difficult time adjusting and understanding my illness. Although it has only been a week now, I am quickly realizing how much time I have missed with my children. I have been interested in online medical transcriptionist training for sometime now, but I never had the time. Now that I have the time, I am out of work and I do not have the financial resource to pay for it. I always enjoyed medical terminology and breaking words down to find the meaning of the words. I also enjoy typing and have always been a very fast-paced, yet accurate worker. I feel that one of the main advantages of the MT field is the flexibility of working from home and being able to spend more time with my children. But, I also feel that I would learn so much more because I would have the opportunity to experience so many different aspects of the medical field. I have learned so much in my nursing career, however, you can only experience so much at one time unless you are constantly changing jobs, which doesn’t always look good on one’s resume. I want to experience a career that will have the possibility of vast growth. I feel that in the MT field, my career will not be stagnant. I am interested in training with Future MT because I am very impressed with the website and the quick response to my inquiries. After viewing the website and reading the E-Book, I can see that the school is highly recommended. I also see that it is highly accredited. I have explored many websites for MT training and Future MT is one that is fairly inexpensive, but also highly recommended. It is also one of the few schools that offers chances to receive scholarships. I am fully aware that many people must be considered, but I am very grateful to be even considered. After receiving proper education and training in the MT field, I would like to start an at-home career in MT. I would like to gain experience in as many different clinical settings as possible in order to broaden my expertise in the field. I would like to eventually have enough experience to supervise, edit, or train those that are new to the field. I would like to start my own business after gaining ample experience and knowledge of the field. I would like to thank you for the opportunity to be considered and would like to ensure that I am fully prepared to dedicate myself to the education and training it will take to start a new career for myself.
