A chance for a new career path
I supposed that being a Medical Transcriptionist under your program would be very good advantage for my lifestyle. I’ve got married last year and just gave birth to a new born baby. I’ve been looking for a job that will suit my interest and lifestyle as well. I wanted to be an efficient and be a goal oriented mother, and I know that being a MT would give a fulfillment on my career growth and development. Just to give you a glimpse of my background, I am a graduate of University of Sto. Tomas, Philippines with a degree in Behavioral Science. After graduating from college I’ve worked as Human Resources Assistant handling recruitment and training in one of the biggest establishments here in Philippines. After a year, I had an opportunity to work in Singapore for three years as a supervisor in a retail industry.
While working in Singapore, my employer was good enough to sponsor me a diploma in Marketing Management at Asia Pacific Management Institute – Kaplan. After a year, I feel like I’ve done enough on my career growth and decided to settle down here in Philippines. When I went back, I’ve tried to work again as Human Resources Assistant in one of the call centers here in Philippines, but the work itself is too much demanding on time and unfortunately it is not well compensated, and decided to leave the company. I guess that having a home-based work will be advantageous on my part most especially. I strongly believe that it is all about time management. Some may say that if the work is home-based there is a great possibility to slack and not too serious to do the job, but I believe in proper time management and the more work that I accomplished the greater fulfillment that I will have.
Honestly, I have no background in being a Medical Transcriptionist, but I am so much willing to learn and wanted to explore more on in every possibilities. I have Medical Transcriptionists friends as well, they were housewives also. I can see that they were fulfilled as a mother and as a career woman. They were earning enough money in this field, and enjoying their quality time as well with their kids and family. They were earning regularly and have a sense of fulfillment. I supposed that this career is a wise decision for me to jump in, though it may cause my time, I know that the setting and lifestyle that I’ve been wanting is easy on my part. I wanted to earn and at the same time look after for my baby personally. I know that being an MT is not a very easy task, it requires concentration and focus on details, but I assure you that I will do my best to become excellent in this field. I am so much willing to learn in a varity of settings. I hope that you could give me a chance to plunge in this new career path. Thank you and God Bless!
