A Future of Independence
I have been searching for an online course in the medical field. I worked for a year in a medical rehabilitation facility in Florida. I became interested in the healing of patients and curious with the doctors records when filing. Questioning how the written records became understandable, I found that we sent recorded reports to independent transcribers. During this time, I noticed the return time seemed quite long before they were returned and the doctors were having trouble getting them back as quickly as they were needed. My thoughts are there may be a shortage of transcribers that are truly dedicated to their jobs. Medical transcribing is a very important record piece to a medical facility. The urgency to these patients should be of utmost importance not only to the doctors but to a transcriber to expedite these reports in a very timely manner. I am very dedicated to what I decide to do. I have owned my own business for 34 years and due to a fall I cannot stand for any length of time. Therefore I am seeking something that does not require standing. I have been interested in entering the medical field however, due to not being able to stand for any length of time, it has limited me to several fields. Due to a divorce, I am no longer making the income I need. Now I am working as a teller in a local bank but only part-time. I need to further my education to make the income I need and want to obtain what I need and want. Taking this course will give me the flexibility to further my education from home while I am still working. It will also upon my certificate find an online transcription job that I can work into while still fulfilling the job I currently have, giving me the opportunity to build my client base for a future of independence. I am interested in medical transcribing to become more aware of medical terminology which could help in an extension of my education in the future. I know I could become quite dependable which could give me a greater opportunity to expand either in a medical firm or start my own transcribing firm. There is such an opportunity here the sky is the limit. I have been searching information through internet colleges but the expense and length of time to complete varies and most seem to be only interested in signing people up quickly without really counseling all aspects of training. This site has been quite thorough from what I have just read. I feel from reading the information on this website that Future MT’s interest in students is above the normal. I was interested in the fact that Future MT will help a certified student to find employment. The guarantee I know depends totally on ME, the student, to learn and succeed. I am seeking financial help to complete this course and get the education to make a difference, not just for myself, but the chance to give others the opportunity to do the same in this field.
