A Great Opportunity
I have worked in the medical field for the past 16 years. I have always enjoyed the research end of my career. I worked for MD Anderson Cancer Center and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. I am fascinated with research and thoroughly enjoyed doing medical transcription throughout my career. My father died with cancer when I was 18 years old, and I was determined to find out more about this horrible disease. I worked very hard to learn medical terminology so that I could better understand how this disease affects the body. I have transcribed everything from autopsy reports to lab reports. I have worked in pathology, histopathology, neuropathology, autopsy, immunohistopathology, leukemia, breast cancer, human genetics, and anesthesiology. I actually loved going to work! I decided a couple of years ago to be a stay-at-home mom. I took on the challenge of homeschooling my daughter. Now that’s an experience!!! I love to challenge myself. I really felt that she needed my attention more than what I could give her when I was working outside of our home. The thought of her coming home to an empty house every day after school just didn’t sit well with me. I really want to continue working, but I want to be available for my kids at all times. Even though I have extensive knowledge in this field, I feel that a certification would definitely be a plus in getting started. I’m really excited about getting into this field again. Unfortunately, trying to come up with an additional $800 to get me there is proving to be somewhat difficult. As I began looking into the different online schools who offer a MT certification, Future MT was the most reasonable one out there. The deciding factor for me was not only the money, but also that you are a member of the BBB. You also seem to be one of the few that offers a full scholarship; that says a lot for your company especially now-a-days. You really do encourage people to get into this type of career and then help them get started on a new career path by offering scholarships. In talking to some of the other online schools, they wanted to get you excited about a new career, but didn’t really offer any financial solutions other than lining their pockets with money-lots and lots of money!! I will never stop learning in this field; it is what I love to do. I am really excited about the opportunity to go to school (even if it is online!). I feel that there are a lot of financial opportunities out there in this specialty field. I was amazed at how many opportunities are available with work from home medical transcription jobs. The other deciding factor for me was that a friend of mine has a sister that does this for a living and she does quite well for herself. I could really see myself starting a business doing this. What an incredible opportunity to help other moms bring in extra income while staying home with their children. No overhead! I really hope that you will give me an opportunity to be a recipient of a full scholarship. Again, this is what I love doing. There is definitely not a gamble giving me a scholarship and doing nothing with it. I would be ever in your debt for giving me this great opportunity. Sincerely, Kellie
