An MT Career Interests Me
My name is Sue. I have three children ages 16, 15, and 12. I was a stay at home mom for their early years because I firmly believe that a good start makes for a good finish. When my youngest child went off to kindergarten, I decided to obtain my PA real estate license and have spent the last 7 years selling real estate. I chose real estate so that my schedule would be flexible enough to be able to attend my kids functions at school or sports or just to be home when they got home. Plus, we live in a pretty rural area and the bus stop is quite a way from home so I really wanted to be there to get them off the bus. Real estate became a crazy business for me and kept me, many times, from being there for my children. It was good financially but, of course, money comes and money goes but memories last a lifetime.
At any rate, real estate has become pretty slow so I have gone to part time to be able to at least be with my kids. And my husband who liquidates companies has been “between jobs” for some time now. We have depleted all our savings, cashed in all our stocks and whatever else we have saved and honestly we are living from paycheck to paycheck. I don’t have much choice in what I can do as far as employment goes because my husband’s line of work sometimes puts him on the road for three months at a time and so I need to be here for the kids. Also, I keep up with the economy and understand that any career in health care is a wise choice which is why this career interests me. It will not only allow me to be home, but it is a career that will undoubtedly endure. I love to type and think I would do well.
Future MT seems to have a premier program from what I have read about. Not only do you offer the opportunity to obtain Financial Aid, but you also offer the opportunity to obtain a free pass. (Hopefully I will get that free pass as I desperately need it.) You can work at your own pace to become a medical transcriptionist, which allows for some definitely needed flexibility with the kids’ schedules. Plus the live mentoring is a huge plus in case something is confusing along the way. From the testimonials alone, it seems that Future MT makes the effort to enable those who choose their program to learn this trade to the best of their ability as well as to assist in the job search process upon completion. It certainly seems as though this field will continue to interest me and the challenge is something I will embrace. I hope to become a terrific MT through learning and practicing so that I may be able to maximize my income and hopefully at some point create my own team of MT’s. Hopefully I get the opportunity to train with Future MT. Only with your assistance will I be able to capitalize on this opportunity.
