Career and Family Having it All
I am currently a Medical Assistant and have worked in the medical field since 1989. I have worked in Family Practice, Obstetrics and Gynecology, hospitals, and in Day Surgery. I love being in the medical field and would like to continue working in this field. After long research and soul searching I have found medical transcription to be the best fit. I have explored different areas in the medical field and have compared my interests to that which would best fit my lifestyle. I have three grown children and we started doing foster care after our oldest child left home. We have come to find this extremely rewarding. We fell in love with two babies that were placed in our home. We adopted them and I want to make sure I am there for them since they were abandoned. They mean the world to us and being there when no one else was is our promise to them as parents. The flexibility of working around them and still being able to be a good parent was an even easier decision for me to make. I miss working and yet I want to be there for our boys, so being able to work from home and still do something I love would be a dream come true. Staying at home has been a financial juggle for us. We do all we can to make ends meet. This would allow us some relief so we can focus more on family without worrying. They also have medical issues that require our attention and we do not feel comfortable letting anyone else take care of them. I have strong faith in the Future MT course and know it will help me achieve my goals and dreams. They have excellent companies that highly recommend them. Their credentials and testimonials are very impressive. Being able to get the correct knowledge and skills that are important to employers surpasses all other programs offered. With so many programs to choose from most are not endorsed by companies. Knowing that going into Future MT’s training I will receive everything I need to succeed and find employment is a lifted burden. Most online medical transcription courses cannot offer that kind of follow up. Future MT training was featured in our local paper and being able to see someone within our community that had used these tools to further their careers was extremely convincing. Very seldom do companies feature “real people” in their ads that everyday people like us can relate to. The article told what companies are seeking in MT employees and of the numerous schools that proclaim to prepare you for these positions. However, most fall short of these promises. Upon searching these other MT training schools I did find that testimonials from former students were angry and disappointed at the lack of training needed. I do not know how far I would like to take my training. I am very goal oriented and can see myself working toward possibly having my own MT business someday. My work ethics are to start at entry level, perfect my skills and progress upward. I am very detail oriented so making sure I have a solid foundation such as satisfactory employment would be extremely important. I believe in shooting for the stars but I also believe in keeping your feet grounded.
