Getting Back Into The Work Force

I am a single mom with teenagers still living at home. I have worked as a CNC Robotic/Mig Welder in a large manufacturing company for close to twelve years. I really enjoyed my job because for me it was craft day every day. I worked anywhere from eight to sixteen hour days, seven days a week in the summer. It finally took its toll on my body. I recently became disabled from constant back, hip, knee and foot pain. I went on-line searching for good work from home typing jobs when I came across the Future MT site. I really wanted to find something that I could do from home on my own computer. I was also looking for something that gave me the flexibility of being home with my family when needed. I have two teenage daughters that still live at home. They both have (ADHD) Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Bipolar Disorder and one of them also has (ODD) Oppositional Defiant Disorder. You could say I have my hands full with them. My job with the manufacturing company didn’t allow me the flexibility that I needed in order for me to be there when my children had problems at school. Working from home will allow me the time and flexibility that I need for my children. I had taken a few medical transcription courses years ago and went on to get an Associates Degree in Legal Secretarial at our local community college. The two classes that I had taken before only had me transcribing discharge summaries, and they all had the same kind of voice to them. I look forward to the diverse doctors and real life situations offered in the Future MT course. I feel that through this course I will learn a lot toward reaching my career and future goals as a medical transcriptionist. I think I read everything on the site at least twice and feel that it is by far the best medical transcription course I can find—From the live mentoring through phone or email, to course materials, to the job assistance department. No other site offers the guaranteed job placement assistance that your site does. Also, other sites don’t send you all that is needed to complete the course, you have to wait for installments. I really like that I can do the course at my own pace. My educational goals for myself are to refresh my skills in medical terminology and transcription. I am so excited about starting my course with Future MT. I know that as I get older my body wouldn’t have held up to get my thirty years in welding. Financially I am looking forward to getting back into the work force. As long term disability benefits are 35% less than what I would get working, the Future MT course will pay for itself in the long run. I would like to find a full-time medical transcription job that I can work from home. Once I have been working in the medical transcription field for a while, I would like to start my own transcription business where I live and help other struggling single moms to feel that they too can do it on there own.
