Inspiration and Transfiguration Hats
In my experience at age 27, I have discovered that there are only two real basic truths in life. The first is a matter of faith and unimportant to this essay. The second is that no matter who you are or where you are from, it is possible to become the best YOU. For the last couple years I have been on a wonderful journey of self-discovery and self-repair. I found that in my zeal for my “American Dream” of a husband, kids and a house, I lost the very thing that got me there. The Wife, Mother and Homemaker hats kept me from just being myself and having fun. I have not reached my ideal me yet, but along my way I have come to the conclusion that my family needs me to wear yet another hat. Though it is not only for my family that I wear it. That hat is Moneymaker.
We are surviving but not comfortable and I feel it is my duty as Wife, Mother, and Homemaker to be proactive and future-sighted. In that spirit, I have decided to wear yet another hat, reminiscent of my college years, Writer. I was recently priviledged to get acquainted with a struggling single mother, 10 years my senior, juggling many hats who was also in the medical transcription field and thinking nothing of herself but giving everything to others. Her courage in the face of her situation was nothing short of awesome and her determination to serve others is unmatched. Her simple assertion that “I’m not doing anything someone else in my position wouldn’t…” is proof. She was amazing motivation to continue my search for a way to wear the Moneymaker hat.
After putting on my Counsellor hat for a friend going through a rough financial spot; I found this opportunity during that process. It intrigued me so I decided I must research it further. My research discovered that certification as a Medical Transcriptionist through Future MT is the best opportunity for me to fulfill that hat. Medical Transcription is a growing field in need of self-starters and business owners to expand.
Future MT is obviously most interested in the success of all of their students and the personal attention of Live Mentoring and background noise in recording are the kind of support system that are unfortunately uncommon among companies in the same industry. I know that was one of the deciding factors for me to be sure. If I am going to pay for a service, I would want it to of the highest quality possible for my budget and Future MT certainly fits that bill, if you will pardon the pun.
My family deserves all the benfits of financial security has to offer and I am determined to provide those by continuing my education at the fastest pace possible for me. My long term financial goal is to wear another hat: Benefactor, for my community not just my own family. Opportunities of all kinds can be created, not necessarily just in the Medical Transcription industry. Service to community is also important to me whether it be through time or money and I intend to use this education to fulfill both. I hope that this essay has answered all the questions set forth and that it fulfills your requirements. I have greatly enjoyed writing it and I hope you have enjoyed reading it.
