Looking For A Career Where I Can Be A Work At Home Mom
I would like to become a medical transcriptionist because I feel that it would allow me to use my computer and typing skills to the best of my ability. I am also very excited about the flexibility that it would allow when it comes to being able to stay home with my 4 month old daughter. It would not only give me the ability to help support my family but to also be able to take care of my family at home as well. It would also take stress off of my husband who unfortunately just lost his job due to downsizing. When I was pregnant the thought of staying home with my daughter didn’t seem like a possibility, but after she was born, I felt like I had no other choice than to stay home with her; and as the flu seems to be hitting more and more families I am very thankful that so far we have been able to avoid day care. It is also very important that I am around to take care of her and to try to teach her as much as possible as she continues to develop. I live in a city where the medical field continues to blossom and I feel that beginning a career as a medical transcriptionist would give me the ability to possess a skill that will continue to be in high demand. I will be able to find medical transcription jobs that either allow me the opportunity to work from home or that allow me to stay in my hometown and keep my family close to relatives. I have been researching different places that will help me train to become a medical transcriptionist and it feels like Future MT is a site that offers all of the good qualities I’ve found in other sites all in one place. I love that they offer help finding jobs once you have completed the training, it is very reassuring. I am also very excited about the training material and I haven’t found information as in depth on any other sites. Future MT has really helped me feel comfortable that a career as a medical transcriptionist is the right decision for me and for my family. At this point I’m not sure where I’d like my career to be in terms of a life long goal, but I do know that my family is my number one priority and this will give me an opportunity to put them at the top of my priorities. It will give me the freedom and flexibility yet I will still be able to maintain a career that makes me feel like I’m more than just a mom and a wife and that will help me keep my sanity. As I already mentioned, I do live in a city that has a large medical field and it seems that training as a medical transcriptionist would help me find work, not only remotely, but also locally. It has the potential to open doors to opportunities that I’m not even aware I’m looking for yet within the medical field. Thank you for your consideration for your full scholarship!
