MT Dreamer: A Love of Medicine

There is a saying that “education is the best inheritance that parents can give to their children”, however I came from low socioeconomic family and not sure if this applies to me.

Some people are born with talents, some are gifted with intelligence but most of these some become unfortunate due to lack of financial aids to discover and nurture their talent and intelligence. Most of us are aware of this dilemma. But just with awareness. Let me begin with, I am a 2nd child daughter of a mechanic and housewife. Since childhood, I am liberated to all the sufferings of my parents, aware to the list of pawnshop tickets and debits in order for them to give the best inheritance to us, their 3 beloved children.

From the start of attending school, with my young and innocent mind, I aimed nothing just to be successful in life! Wishing I can help my parents to rest and live in comfort in life at their aged years. My deepest gratitude to the public schools for the provided free tuition fees. Proudly to say, I am constantly awarded with salutatorian honors during elementary and high school years.

During college, I chose to study in the cheapest and greatest school in the country, Univ. of the Philippines. I passed the exam and became accepted. I worked as a Korean tutor while studying until hard work paved me to finish a Bachelors in Biology. After studying I work for eight months to gain allowance and entrance fee for medicine. Although I belong to the low socioeconomic family, I entered medical school. Now look at me, I am a current 2nd year medical student. Thanks to the scholarship offered by school. But still in medicine you need money in spite of your scholarship grant, since books and allowance are not included.

Unfortunately, I know the fact that I need to stop studying because of simple financial problem. Its sad and depressing but life needs to continue. Due to my inspiration and interest in the field of medicine, the only thing I want is to pursue a job that is related to it, like medical transcriptionist. Why medical transcriptionist? I am actually inspired by some of my friends who pursue in this field after stopping medicine due also to financial matters and failure of subjects. And look at them now, happy and fully satisfied. They now have their own family and savings.

I know and I believe that working in the MT industry will help me utilize and nurture my skills in medicine, without being a  doctor. Somewhat this is the best option for me to continue what I had started in a related way. And of course, I can help by contributing something to my supposed to be fellow doctors. All of these dreams will come true if Future MT will give me a chance to get the full scholarship for the training. I am totally interested the medical transcriptionist training that is offered at online schools like FutureMT. I promise to give my best as the course proceeds. If it will be granted this will be my next footstep for success. So maybe training online to be a professional will help me have time for myself and my family.

Its been a long time that I am given a chance to enjoy life as it goes along without thinking of debits, where can I get my resources and etc. Since I will not think of tuition fee, allowance, books, I can also have more knowledge on the field since books and CD ROMs are provided. And finally the course will finished in just months, which will help me find work and have earnings in the next few years or few months. Now my only goal is to have an MT free quality education as of future MT. I am willing to be trained by your company. After that I will gain an MT employment. Then, I also dream of having my own MT business, where I can also be a teacher and inspiration on training hopeful and eager students like me for free.
