My Goal to be an MT
I would like to become a Medical Transcriptionist because I like the idea of being able to work from home. I got interested in the health field when I was younger because of my Mother and Father. When I was young my father was diagnosed with colorectal cancer that spread to his liver. By the time they discovered it, it was in the worst stage. I got to see first hand that the health field plays a huge role in people’s lives. If there wasn’t people in the health-care field that enjoyed their jobs and did their jobs in a timely manner,that could have caused a lot of issues in my father’s care. Secondly I seen that it would have been easier on my mom if she would have had a degree of this sort because she had to stay home and care for my father. This made it hard because she was a stay at home mother with no degree and when my father got sick he was out of work also. If she would have had a degree that she could have worked from home, that would have helped out our family tremendously financially.
One of the major advances of working in the Medical Transcriptionist industry is that you do have more flexibility. Just like with the situation I was in growing up. It would have been such a blessing if my mother would have been able to work from home and care for my father. My parents were excellent parents, but I know they do wish they would have been better prepared for the situation. I would like to be prepared for a situation like that if it arose in my life now. I would like to know that if my husband had to leave work for awhile that I would still be able to work from home and support our family. Also you will have time to be more dedicated to church and family while maintaining a job. I believe that having a job where you may be flexible is very important. In my opinion working at home is quite an advantage.
I am interested in training with Future MT because I have read over many Medical Transcription courses and Future MT has been very informative. Future MT helps by being very informative on what you do as a Medical Transcriptionist. Also Future MT helps you to see the important role you, as a Medical Transcriptionist has. Future MT also helps to point out that if financial aid is a problem,they can help. To me that is very important because I truly believe that the reason for most people not continuing their education is due to financial issues. My educational career goal in Medical Transcribing would first be to complete the Medical Transcribing courses. Then I would like to get hired on in a business for Medical Transcribing. I believe with a lot of experience in Medical Transcribing I then would be able to train for health-care management. After getting all the training that is possible for knowing how to manage a business. I would then begin to think on opening my own Medical Transcribing business and possibly trying to help lead more people in the Medical Transcribing business!
