My Reason For Becoming An MT
My name is Carla Rougier and I have been doing some extensive research on a home based business. I am employed full time, however I am very interested in spending more time with my children. I have 3 children between the ages of 5-13 and I would like to be more involved in their education and also in their after school activities. Working a full time job does not provide me that flexibility. I am not just looking for any job. I am looking for a work from home typing job where I will make money and also get educated and I know that I have chosen the right career to fulfill this dream. My youngest son is 5 years old and was diagnosed with Autism at a very early age. I have done many tests on him and oftentimes I have many questions based on what the doctors tell me. The medical field is a very interesting field. I feel that by me attaining this certification it will help my knowledge of the medical field to grow and it will also help me to feel more comfortable when I have to take my son to the doctor’s office and they are using these big medical terms. By becoming certified I will have access to materials and resources that will help me better understand my son’s condition along with other medical aspects that we deal with on a daily basis. My son’s health is very important to me, therefore I plan to go above and beyond what is required for this course to educate myself about his condition so that I can give him the at home treatment that he needs in order to excel even with his condition. Becoming an MT would afford me the opportunity to also do research on other conditions that other family members deal with. As I mentioned previously some of the advantages that I would gain would be to become more familiar with medical terminology. I would be inspired to do more research on diseases and in the near future I would like to do this on a full time basis, where I can spend the time at home with kids. I think that my kids are at a critical place in their lives where they need mom to be there even more. I have also been doing some research on home-schooling my 5 year old because I live in the Virgin Islands and we do not have enough skilled people to deal with children with disabilities in the public schools. I have been applauded many times by doctors about my interest in the field. I am very interested in medicine. I decided that I should begin by being an MT and in the future I may seek information on becoming a pharmacist where I would be exposed to a more extensive portion of the medical field. I have chosen to study with Future MT because it offers quick real-world training and also I find that the website is user-friendly. Future MT offers everything that I think I will need to become a successful MT. I also see that you offer online assistance which will be very beneficial to me. One of the benefits that I feel I will get by using your program is the flexibility of working at my pace and without any time constraints whatsoever. Educationally I see myself becoming a full time MT. This will allow me to master the medical terminology and would increase my listening skills. Within a few years I will be taking the certification exam. Once I acquire certification I look forward to influencing other people to become MT’s. Based on my research there is a great shortage of MT’s, therefore if I can be a voice then I will be.
