My research on becoming a Medical Transcriptionist

I have been trying to find a new career path. I have been in banking for nine years and it has become very sales oriented which I do not like. I am more of a customer service oriented person. I have talked to a friend of mine who has been a medical transcriptionist for years. She talked to me about all the things that she loves about her job. This really helped in my decision to pursue the training to become a medical transcriptionist. From the research I have done, this field is growing and there is a great need for medical transcriptionsits.

Another thing that helped me make my decision was that six months ago I found out I was going to become a first time mother at the age of 40. This was a total shock since I was told that I would be able to have children without medical intervention. The father is not involved in my life and will not be involved in the child’s life either. I recently packed up my life, left behind my job, my house, and my friends, and moved closer to family for emotional and financial support. This has been a major life changing event for me and will continue to be once the baby gets here.

Being able to work from home and not have to pay for child care would be a blessing as a single mom with no child support from the father to help financially. It would mean the world to me to be able to be a stay at home mom while still being able to financially support my family. I have researched many medical transcriptionist schools online before making my decision to attend FutureMT.

When I compare all the things you get with the tuition plus all the online support, FutureMT surpasses all the other medical transcription online course offers. Not only is the price more than reasonable but it includes everything you need. The other schools tuition were not only costly, but you had to buy additional items A-La-Carte. Plus the guarantees that FutureMT offers for tuition and job placement were so much better than the other schools. Plus with a baby due in three months, the ability to work at my own pace will allow me to take a couple weeks off from training when the baby arrives without falling behind in the class.

There are so many positives about the course that you offer that for me it was an easy decision. I am very excited about this new prospect in my life and cannot wait to get the material to get started. I see myself over the next few years learning all I can about medical transcriptioning. I know with the help and training from FutureMT that I will find an excellent job that I will love and find very fulfilling. After five years when my baby goes to school, I can see myself taking on additional jobs since I will have extra time during the day without having to take care of a toddler. I think this will be a wonderful new career path and am very anxious to pursue the next step in my life. At this time I am not working due to the pregnancy and have minimum funds available at this time and will be putting my tuition on a credit card that I can only make minimum payments on until I can go back to work. The full scholarship will greatly benefit me in the pursuit of a new life.
