Picking up the pieces
For the last twelve years I have been a very dedicated, successful Licensed Massage Therapist. I have had the opportunity to work in the Chiropractic Rehabilitation field since 1998. I have created wonderful memories and built beautiful relationships with patients/clients based on trust. My career is very physical and rewarding.
About six years ago I became a mother and shortly after I realized I needed to further my education to create a more flexible environment at home. I used to think about the day to day events until Life thought me a good lesson. Last year I encountered some health challenges while my husband was unexpectedly laid off from his twelve years old career in the airline business. Today, as I think about my future, I realize that an education and setting new goals are an important part of my future and eventually my reality. With a clean bill of health I am ready to challenge myself. As a mother, my future and my goals become a huge part of my son’s life. He is the light of my life and setting the right example for Him is my first responsibility as his Mother. Today as I try to pick up the pieces from a very rough year I decide to learn new things and explore other options to better my life and to provide stability for my family. Being a working Mother is rewarding, but challenging. I am aware I need to keep my job, my income, but I need more flexibility in my life to give back to my family. I believe anything is possible, I just have to believe it. Having win the battle with cancer made me realize life is short and can even be shorter for others. I feel lucky and blessed to be given a second chance at life. I feel there is so much I want to live, experience and accomplish. My family has been an important part of my healing and I would prefer to spend more time around them and that is why I am seeking a stay at home jobs opportunity.
Future MT is the perfect adjective to describe my present and my new goal. The name Future MT is very strong and powerful because I use it as my new title. As I researched this opportunity I realize I have nothing to lose. This program is convenient and affordable. There are no excuses for me! This is the time to take my first step to create a new challenge and to create a new rewarding career for myself and my family. The twelve years of experience in the medical field and the exposure to medical terminology will be a great asset for this new career. Completing this program will be a very emotional and powerful accomplishment since is my first professional goal after my battle with cancer. It will be a great example and motivation for my son. My goal is to be a working mom outside of the long commute and the nine to seven schedule. With the right tools I can still be a professional in the medical field and a dedicated Mother. I want to enjoy both my life and my career by creating a healthy balance because I deserve it.
