Seeking a Career in Medical Transcription
My childhood dream was to become a Pediatrician or Pharmacist. Unfortunately due to a lengthy Thyroid illness, I was unable to continue going to college. I then had to readjust and settle with just working in some aspect of the medical field.
Until recently I worked full time as an accounting manager. After dedicating five and a half years of my life building a business that was not my own, I was let go. This was the second time I had dedicating a one hundred and ten percent of myself to a company with someone else reaping the benefits: financial freedom, work flexibility, etc. I vowed that this would not happen to me again, and with your help this can become a reality.
I started doing research on different careers for at home medical transcription jobsand stumbled across medical transcriptionist. I have always been fascinated by medical terminology and felt the Medical Billing or Medical Transcription would be both challenging and rewarding. Working as a medical transcriptionist would provide me with several benefits. I am intrigued by the option to work from home in addition to having the flexibility needed to have a more active share with my family. I am a single mother and being actively involved in my daughter life and education is very important to me. I went back to work full-time when she was just 6 months old. I had to miss out on several school activities and leave her some days when she was ill as a result of working for someone else those where tough days.
Working as a Medical Transcriptionist will allow me to make my own schedule and work around the things that are most important to me.
Most programs provide you with training alone. Future MT program stands out because it not only gives you the training and tools, but also provides industry contacts and job placement assistance. This is a new career for me. I see it as the first step in not only achieving employment but building a successful business.
In the next two years I hope to have established myself as the most dependable, accurate, and reliable Medical Transcriptionist in my area. I want to use my training as a stepping stone to starting a business. Once established, I want to be able to start a Medical Transcriptionist service. This would allow me to assist other single mother in the area providing them with the same opportunity I have been afforded. With Future MT training, tools, and job placement I am positive that I can be a success = in the industry, my community, and support my family. Everyone has the dream, desire, and drive to own their own business. It is time to make mine a reality with the Future MT system. Life may present us with obstacles and detours, but it is up to us to decide how we persevere and overcome. Above all, I want to show my daughter that it is never to late to make your dreams come true or start over building a new future!
