Seeking a new opportunity
I want to become a gainfully employed medical transcriptionist after being laid off from a company for which I worked tirelessly and provided dedicated service to for just less than four years. Words cannot adequately express how much this recent lay off has impacted my sense of self-worth. A day does not go by that I do not contemplate how I might have done things differently to have made myself more marketable to this and other organizations.
Although I now realize the lay off was not personal, I am aware that the best opportunities on my career path are ahead and not behind me. I simply do not have the luxury to bow out and give up because with the right training, resources and opportunities, I am optimistic about my future. This is where the prospect of getting training through Future MT comes into play. The ability to have more control over my own earning ability while meeting the needs of my two young children is what motivates me to seek a career in medical transcription. While the most prominent advantage of working in the Medical Transcription industry is the flexibility to work from home, I also seek an opportunity to use my undergraduate degree in an allied health field along with practical work experience and the thorough training Future MT can provide for an organization needing it. As most human beings, I have a desire to be of use; to do a good job for a company. I am confident I can successfully complete this program, pass the appropriate certification test and go on to secure gainful employment in this field all while maintaining a happy, healthy home for my family.
I am very interested in training with Future MT because of the full and part-time scholarship opportunities that are available. I also am interested in a practical career where I can earn an income while fulfilling my family’s needs. I expect the courses offered by Future MT will enable me to understand the inner workings of medical terminology, procedural areas, and medical transcription overall. I am also confident Future MT will provide resources to students having successfully completed the program through the utilization of career inside tracks administrators of this program should be willing to provide. I strongly feel Future MT invests in the success of its students by providing partial and full-time scholarships and are vested in the overall success those they deem appropriate in their willingness to help them find work. I would like to complete training through Future MT in the immediate. Within 18 months, I envision having steady employment as a medical transcriptionist providing high quality services for several medical settings such as clinics, doctor’s offices, hospitals, nursing home, etc. In three years, I endeavor to have my own company with one to five full-time medical transcriptionists, one marketing representative, one bookkeeper and a private Nurse Practitioner Consultant. I see my company providing high-quality services to the ever-changing medical community for several years ahead.
