Seeking my certification as an MT

Becoming a Medical Transcriptionist has been a long time goal of mine since 1995. I had established a business name and it is still active until this date, but I did not have the opportunity to pursue the business or funds to get a degree in transcriptioning and I put this dream aside to pursue other career goals which have taken down the path of financial management. Although financial management is a promising career with many great opportunities to advance, this is not my first choice when it comes to a career.

The main reason why I want to be an MT is because of all of the benefits (work at home, flex hours etc.) yes, but also because of the family time I will have with my growing children. I would like to eat lunch with them while they are in school and take them to breakfast some mornings before school and spend time with them from time to time at school visiting or even volunteering from time to time. Also, I would like to take long 2 week vacations with my children to Disney or Great Wolf Lodge, without feeling burdened when I return to work. This will also give me the opportunity to work a full-time and part-time job doing the same type of work which is excellent for me to earn enough funds to pay off my home, and other bills. Training with future MT will give me the opportunity to fund my course as well as the opportunity to study at my own pace. Also the job opportunities that are associated with this organization will set me on the right path to success.

Where do I see myself going in the next few years? I would hope to have my certification as a Medical Transcriptionist, then I would pursue part-time or maybe full-time employment as a Medical Transcriptionist. while working on getting my AA degree as an Medical Transcriptionist I would hope to have most of my training done in four years time. In the next five years I would like to be gainfully employed as a full time and part-time Medical Transcriptionist, while continuing towards pursuing my business goals. in 7 years I would like to have my business started as a professional MT and having a great well known clientele that values my work. In the next ten years I would like to have a four or five other Medical Transcriptionist working for me out of my home office in which I will employ people that are willing to work hard and need help (homeless) even if I need to train some of them before they begin and then help them to pursue more training as I had done that is all the incentive I need to get started and keep down a wonderful path that will help others as well as myself. I hope to have all of this achieved before I reach the age Fifty or rather I say the next 10 years.
