Setting my goals to become an MT

A few months ago my husband and I thought that it was time he changed jobs. As a result of that we are in a financial hole due to the fact that his new job is commission base only. Last month my husband went back to his old job and is now working two jobs to try and get us caught up with our rent, car payment and other bills. I feel the need to do something as well to get us out of debt. However, I do not want to give up being a stay at home mom. I never thought that I could have both, be a stay at home mom and have a career. I’ve heard too many horror stories about children being abused and neglected in daycare or with a “well known friend”. Giving up my time with my kids is simply not an option, so I gave up the dream of going to school and having a career.

When I heard about medical transcriptionist and how it can be a career from home I new that this was for me. I have three little girls from ages 2 years old to 2 months old. If I had an outside job I would be working just to pay for gas and for someone else to raise my little girls. It is not worth it. Working from home would be the full package for me. I will have a great career and be here for my kids. I would like to train with Future MT because I would be training from home and because not every program is willing to have “Guaranteed Results” on their website. Guaranteed results make me feel more confident about the education I would be receiving, and as a result I would feel more confident about my career.

Now that I know about Future MT I have set my goals for the next couple of years. My first goal is to start my training as soon as possible. I need to focus on my education first in order to know how to do my job with perfection. After I am done with my education and I feel confident in my career I need to work on my resume. I know that will not be able to say I have prior experience, however, I will have training. Working on my resume will probably be the hard part for me simply because the last time I had a job was when I was 17 years old. I am sure that Future MT will provide some adivce for me. Once my resume looks appealing to clinics and Dr.’s offices I will have everything I need to apply for jobs. My hope is that I will find a job at a Dr.’s office because I think that I would be more personal working with only one or two Dr.’s instead of several. After I have mastered the goals that I have set, I plan on setting higher goals for myself.
