The Start Of A Beautiful Career
Thank you for considering me for a scholarship. I learned how to type in Jr. High School on an old Remington typewriter that I had to push on the letters really hard and change the line manually after the ring. Technology has come a long way since those days, and I’ve been there every step of the way. Since those days in school, I’ve been able to increase my typing speed and accuracy and can say that I can type very quickly now and would like to learn how to put that speed to work for me. At this point I find it very stress free and enjoyable to work from my own computer at home. I have been in the medical field for 20 years and have enjoyed the health care industry and all the improvements technology has brought our way. The most important aspect about working from home as an MT is the ability to work the hours that are the most convenient. This allows the freedom to be able to do some of the things that one cannot do when they are chained to the desk of an employer 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I recently had abdominal surgery and have been doing some work from home. I find that it is most relaxing and I have had the flexibility to get some bed rest when needed or sit in my recliner to rest. I also have strict doctor’s orders to walk a least a mile a day or more. Working from home has allowed me to walk the dog at anytime of the day without jeopardizing my work. I believe that having the training course from Future MT will, once again, allow me to work at my own pace as well as the hours that are convenient for me. I believe that this course can go anywhere with me. If I want to get away for a few days, I can take my laptop and still get some of the coursework done. It seems easy and convenient and typing, for me, is a lot of fun. I think it will be somewhat of a challenge, but challenges are what make us stronger and more educated. Because I can study at my own pace I will be able to study at any time of the night or day, which means I will be able to become certified very quickly indeed. And becoming certified will lead to jobs that I will be able to accomplish in the comfort of my own home, even if I want to do it in my pajamas! I think that initially, I will be using my certificate to gain my experience in the workplace. I can achieve MT employment and start work from home typing just as soon as I finish the coursework and receive my certificate. After I get the experience in the MT field, I hope to move on to a full-time position. Eventually, I would like to start an MT business of my own and be able to hire others to help with the workload. I think the best thing about being an MT would be that I can be virtually anywhere in the world and do this. I can move from one city to another or one state to another and not have to worry about changing employment or going on job interviews or sending my resume out to multiple employers and agencies. I think this line of work is going to be the start of a beautiful career!
