WHY DO I WANT TO BECOME A MEDIAL TRANSCRIPTIONIST?
I would like to make a comfortable income for my 85 year old mother and I. Recently, I have had to step up to the plate in caring for her full-time. My elderly aunt is not able to do this task any longer. I did not see this coming down the line. If I was given notice early on, I could have saved money to help make my mother’s final years more comfortable. As things turned out, we had an attempted break-in a couple of weeks go. The money is now ALL spent and I am applying for a loan to help with the rent, car note and with the purchase of a new storm back door that locks. I am currently only working as a HHA- exclusively as my mom’s HHA for 35 hours a week. I really don’t feel comfortable in leaving the home, especially since there is not a storm back door that locks. If I do leave the home, it’s for very brief periods of time, and my mother has the cell phone number to contact me, an emergency alert and panic button. WHAT ARE SOME OF THE ADVANTAGES OF WORKING IN THE MT INDUSTRY? In working in the MT industry, it will afford me the opportunity to work at home, care for my 85 year old mother and make it to all of her medical appointments during the week when she wants them, instead of waiting till Saturday when most places are closed. In working in this industry, it will help make care giving a lot easier. I do not have to call off from work due to medical appointments for my mother. Also, if she is not feeling well, I can take her right away to her internal medical physician on a walk-in basis and wait to be seen. I can do this without the penalty of multiple call offs and the penalty for having a personal life beyond the job. WHAT ARE SOME OF THE REASONS FOR TRAINING WITH FUTURE MT? There are three reasons for training with Future MT. One, the school is a member of the BBB and has an A+ rating. Two, there is help with tuition, which I so desperately need right about now!!!!!!! Three, there is online help with professional assistance in finding gainful employment after completion of the course. SOME OF THE EDUCATIONAL/CAREER GOALS THAT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE MY SELF ACHIEVE IN THE MT IDUSTRY IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS, 5 OR 10 YEARS DOWN THE ROAD? I would like to have these goals. Short term goal: 0-1 year completion of MT course. Mid-term goal: 1-2 years of working for a medical firm. Long term goals: 2-5 years to start looking how to work for myself and 5-10 years to work independently for myself and for the local parish. The ultimate overall goal would be to provide a comfortable income as a caregiver for my 85 year old mother. In conclusion, all these goals will help facilitate legitimate income in helping me put some things in order for my elderly mother. An online transcription job will also help me afford the opportunity to not sell, drop ship, run an internet business, blog for dollars or participate in illegal scams regarding work at home schemes.
