Why I want to become an MT
I want to become a Medical Transcriptionist, because I am experiencing a lot of financial difficulties in my life right now. My belief is, that being a Medical Transcriptionist, and having the flexibility to either work from home, or from an office, will increase my wages which will in turn better my financial lifestyle. These changes began in my life when my Licensed Daycare, and PreSchool burned. After that happened, I applied to the Board of Education, in Jersey City for a teaching position, but there were no openings. I was encouraged by a friend to come stay with her in the Pocono Mountains, in Pennsylvania. So, I took the opportunity, and I moved. Fortunately, I got a job as a Substitute Teacher, but for the three years, I have been substituting, it has not made a financial change in my life. I have been barely making it, and sometimes, I cannot meet my financial obligations.
Because of these turns of events in my life, I believe that I have made the right choice to want to become a Medical Transcriptionist. For years, I have wanted to become a Medical Transcriptionist. However, I have never initiated the courage to go online, and make a search to fulfill my desire. I have had it at the back of my mind, hoping that one day the opportunity will arise for me to move forward. The opportunity is now. It is that time for me to do what I have yearned for, and to make myself, and my life much easier, by committing to going back to school, and taking classesto make life a lot easier for me. I have a Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate, and I have worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 10 years, but even doing that does not increase your earnings to the point that there is a change in your lifestyle, and you do not have to pay one bill, and leave the other until you get paid again in another two weeks. It is a job. You stay with it, because it supplements your lifestyle, and you keep hoping that one day big changes would come that will be so effective, that your life will have a drastic turn around. I believe that the time has now come. I believe that applying to become a Medical Transcriptionist will bring about the change that has been long overdue. I will like to make the best of the opportunity to study as hard as I can to achieve the certificate that will bring about a resounding change in my life.
Nothing ever happens to anyone unless he/she makes it happen. Sometimes, you have to stop sitting back and waiting for good things to come into your life. In order for you to get good things, you have to get up and reach towards them, and grasp them–making sure that you do not let them escape. This is what I have done. I have searched until I have found what I have long wanted, and now that I have found it, I have no intentions of letting it escape from me.
